After months of labor Cronos has launched its mainnet beta, delivering Ethereum Digital Machine performance to the Cosmos ecosystem.
The mainnet launch marks the primary Cosmos EVM chain, and can join the community with interoperability to Ethereum-based digital property, opening the door to a wealth of alternatives in NFTs, DeFi protocols, and metaverse tokens.
Beta launch will allow builders to port apps immediately onto EVM-compatible chains, with performance to be prolonged to all the 10m userbase of Cosmos at full-release.
Interoperability represents a major transfer for a community with greater than $100bn property underneath administration.

Moreover, Particle B – the partnered blockchain accelerator, has created the CRO EVM Fund backed by $100m in grant funding – with the strategic purpose of financing a minimum of 100 new initiatives that contribute dApps, instruments, and infrastructure to Cronos.
Issues will kickstart with the primary Cronos Hackathon ending later this November – with $500,000 up for grabs throughout 5 tracks.
How does Cronos EVM join Cosmos with Ethereum?
Cronos leverages Cosmos SDK – a platform that facilitates modular development of recent blockchains – to allow an Inter-Blockchain Communications protocol (IBC) to attach the Cronos EVM with the Cosmos ecosystem.
Mainnet utilization shall be powered by a community native CRO token which shall be used to settle transactions and pay community charges.
